Hello,

As some of our customers may be aware, Google's Project Zero team recently discovered a vulnerability related to all Intel-based systems running world-wide, long story short - there's a security flaw with the way in which the CPUs deal with virtual memory processing;

If you're wondering how to protect yourself against the vulnerability, relax - we have you covered!

The new kernels are being prepared by Linux communities, once released (we expect within 24 hours) we will begin testing on a small number of hosts before rolling out to all hypervisors world-wide.

In doing so we will need to reboot all HVs, which we will schedule in waves, and out of hours. All customers will receive notification via ticket with their scheduled reboot time and do not need to do anything once the time comes.

Following the reboot, it would also be advisable for customers to update their servers to secure them too, if you are unsure how please contact our support team who will be happy to assist!

Kind regards,

HOSTCODE LAB
